Loop 202 to the Gila River segment includes the construction of a third general-purpose lane in each direction in the median of I-10, one HOV lane in each direction from Loop 202 to Riggs Road also in the median, the reconstruction of interchanges at Wild Horse Pass Boulevard/Sundust Road, Queen Creek Road/SR 347, and Riggs Road, and the widening of Goodyear Road. Several other infrastructure improvements will be constructed, including freeway management systems that use a fiber optic backbone, cameras, and dynamic message signs. In addition, full freeway lighting will be installed from Loop 202 to Riggs Road.

Construction is scheduled to begin in mid 2026 and would last until early 2028. This project would cost approximately $450.3 million.
