I-10 Bridges over the Gila River Project Mileposts 172 – 174

The I-10 Bridges Over the Gila River Project will replace the existing two-lane bridges with new three-lane bridges with wide shoulders and reconstruct the existing two-lane roadway approaches as three lane roadways in each direction with wide shoulders in the median of I-10. The Gila River Bridge is about 1,400 feet long.

Construction on the bridge is expected to begin in spring of 2024 and last through 2026. The programmed amount for the overall project costs is $112.6 million.
